An intimate and flexible space in the historic Golders Green Crematorium.
This recently sensitively repurposed space is a true gem for those who wish for a more personal ceremony with minimal stress of arrangements and logistics. The open floor allows you to arrange the space seating to suit you, whether in the round, around the edges or no seating at all.
Thereafter offer a human centred approach to Direct Cremations. If a Direct Cremation is requested but you would like, or feel you need to spend some time with your loved one for one last goodbye, the Bedford Chapel provides a perfect space.
Situated within the historic grounds of Golders Green Crematorium, Bedford Chapel forms part of one of London’s most significant and peaceful memorial landscapes. The crematorium, opened in 1902, was the first in London and has long been known for its beautiful gardens, tranquil surroundings and thoughtful approach to remembrance.
An addition to the grounds in 1911, the smaller very intimate Bedford Chapel was funded by the Duke of Bedford, originally designed for infant ceremony.
Today, Bedford Chapel offers a quiet and reflective setting where families can gather, remember and honour their loved one in a way that feels personal and meaningful.
