This service is exactly as the name suggests. The Private Goodbye allows you and your intimate gathering to spend meaningful, private time in the chapel at the crematorium. You can use it in any way that is right for you: You may choose to gather around the coffin, focus your love and intentions, say a few words, stand in silence, sing, shower the coffin with flowers, laugh, or cry. The choice is entirely yours; this is your time for the one you love.
The simplicity of this service is ideal in the situation where the person who has died has requested a ‘no fuss’ funeral. This provides a way to honour their wishes whilst giving you the space you need to say goodbye in the physical presence of their coffin.
Private Goodbyes can be held at:
These intimate ceremonies are 20 minutes long held in the morning allowing you the rest of the day to commemorate in an extended personal way – a long walk, a nice lunch, tea at home
After the cremation, you have the option to collect the ashes in person from the crematorium, or we can arrange to hand deliver them to you.
