Rosalie Kuyvenhoven

Rosalie Kuyvenhoven (she/her) is an award-winning celebrant, ritual designer, mentor and speaker at international conferences

She creates and conducts bespoke, warm and inclusive funeral and memorial ceremonies for people of all backgrounds and beliefs. Guided by what is important and meaningful to those arranging the funeral, she offers creative and personalised ways to bring their wishes and ideas to life.

In Rosalie’s experience, a funeral can be a beautiful, transformative and empowering event. It can offer a space to grieve and honour, whilst finding a sense of belonging and a way to move forward with grief in compassion and love.

As well as working with more conventional formats, Rosalie loves reimagining funerals by conducting ceremonies at alternative venues or unusual places, or by approaching funerals in a new way. She has designed ceremonies as an art installation, a soundscape, around movement, and collective music making.

Rosalie lives in London, UK, with her husband and two teenage children. Prior to becoming a celebrant, Rosalie had careers in academia and the corporate world. In her free time she loves browsing vintage gems in charity shops, walking in her local wood, exploring art galleries, listening to contemporary jazz and classical music with her husband and watching TV series with her kids.

Born in the Netherlands, Rosalie is fluent in Dutch also also delivers bilingual ceremonies in German and French.
