Ken, a mechanic in the royal air force had one request, he was to be laid to rest alongside his dearly loved mother. His daughters were at peace in that they were now to be at rest together again. A non-religious but spiritual ceremony was required. Offering support and guidance, we worked with the family from beginning to end.
Time was spent with the family looking through boxes of memoirs and artefacts to gain a true picture of the man he was.
From this, we drafted his eulogy for the family to confirm. who officiated an elegant, free-flowing ceremony with readings and prayers. The ceremony started with a causal procession of the intimate group walking behind the hearse through the ceremony to graveside. The gentle rhythmic ringing of a bronze bell held the space.
An honest and liberating burial service was concluded with tea and cakes at the local aero club. High blue skies were animated with small jets freely playing in the air: Serendipity at its finest.
