RTN Soil

Sustainable Organic Soil for the Burial of Ashes

We are very proud advocates of eco-friendly funeral soil, RTN Soil. This exceptional organic soil blend, similar to nutrient-rich compost, has been meticulously crafted to provide a sustainable solution for natural memorialisation while protecting the environment for future generations.

RTN Living Memorial – Soil for Ashes Treatment

RTN Living Memorial is a specially formulated soil treatment designed to make cremated remains suitable for planting.

Cremated ashes are highly alkaline and, when placed directly into soil, can inhibit plant growth. RTN Living Memorial works by balancing the pH and dispersing salts, creating conditions more suitable for trees, shrubs and other planting.

For families who wish to create a living memorial through planting, this product offers a practical solution grounded in environmental understanding rather than assumption.

Suitable for use with:

  • Trees
  • Shrubs
  • Garden planting
  • Memorial planting schemes

We can advise on appropriate quantities and planting considerations before purchase.

Use: Ash treatment before planting
Purpose: pH balancing and soil conditioning
Application: To be mixed with cremated remains as directed

The Benefits of RTN Soil

It’s lesser known that cremated remains (also known as ‘ashes’) can be quite damaging to the ecosystem. To be honest, the term ‘ash; is quite deceptive. Cremated remains are more like fossil than ash. Following a cremation, ‘the ashes’ have high pH and sodium content which regular soil cannot counteract. When ashes are buried or scattered, the soil often cannot support plant life and fails to regenerate and often, shrubs, trees, bushes planted with ash as memorial will not survive. RTN soil has been specifically formulated to neutralise the ashes, allowing beneficial nutrients to be released. This nourishes the soil, enabling plants, shrubs, or trees to flourish.

It’s a win-win

  • Create a final resting place
  • A place that you can nurture and return to
  • The living memorial grows with you
  • The healthy living memorial feeds the ecosystem
  • Emotionally and environmentally sustainable
