Dancing On Your Grave

Despite death being as old as life itself, for many years society has pushed it behind closed doors. Art is a brilliant way of brokering this taboo. “Dancing On Your Grave” is one of my favourite dance pieces. First performed in 2001 when I began to work in end of life, putting death quite literally centre stage with candid humour resonated and tickled me finely.  11 Years on, this piece still holds its place in my heart. Funny, witty, upfront and of course, brilliantly performed.

Performance by The Cholmondeleys & The Featherstonehaughs. Choreography by Lea Anderson, Music written and performed by Nigel Burch and Steve Blake, design by Jess Hooks.
Performed by Steve Blake, Nigel Burch, Maho Ihara, Ryen Perkins-Gangnes, Valentina Formenti
