RTN Soil – Eco-friendly solution for ashes

Sustainable Organic Soil for Burial of Ashes

We are very proud advocates of our eco-friendly funeral soil, RTN Soil. This exceptional organic soil blend, similar to nutrient-rich compost, has been meticulously crafted to provide a sustainable solution for natural memorialisation while protecting the environment for future generations.

The Benefits of RTN Soil

It’s lesser known that cremated remains (also known as ‘ashes’) can be quite damaging to the ecosystem. Following a cremation, the ashes have high pH and sodium content, which regular soil cannot counteract. When ashes are buried or scattered, the soil often cannot support plant life and fails to regenerate. Our RTN soil has been specifically formulated to neutralise the ashes, allowing beneficial nutrients to be released. This nourishes the soil, enabling plants, shrubs, or trees to flourish.

Easy to Use Organic Soil for Burial of Ashes

Using RTN soil is straightforward and requires no gardening expertise. We deliver one bag of this organic compound to you. Each bag is designed to accommodate the cremated remains of one adult. Instructions for use are included on the bag, and the process is as follows:

  • Choose your pot or dig a hole large enough for your chosen plant.
  • Mix the cremated remains into the RTN soil. Once mixed, it is ready for immediate planting.
  • Plant and care for as normal.

If we have facilitated a funeral and cremation for you, the ashes of your loved one will be hand-delivered wrapped in cotton with a bag of RTN soil. The legal cremation certificate will be included.

For those wishing to create a memorial for a funeral that has already taken place, we are happy to provide and deliver RTN soil nationwide.
